The www.letsgosunderland.com website is aimed firmly at young people. It has been designed by young people, for young people. They even chose the name. However, it is owned and run by Sunderland City Council so it has the backing you can trust.
Why did we set up the site?
Young people tell us that there isn’t anything to do and there is nowhere to go. It is not that there isn’t anything to do…it’s just that it is difficult to find out what is available. This website brings everything together in one place with an easy to remember name.
The website doesn’t just list sporting activities. It also has leisure, how to help out in the community and details of safe places to hang out. As a parent, you see the same activities and details that young people do. You’ll be able to sit down with the rest of the family and help them find things to do…or places to go. This can either be on their own or with their friends, with you dropping them off or going out as a family. Who knows, you might even find the old places you use to hang out as well!
We’ve made it as easy as possible to help you locate where the activities happen with maps whenever we have a postcode.

From family activities and events, childcare options, health, education and other services for families. Telephone the team and they will be happy to help or if you prefer ring to make an appointment.
